Pierre Disderot creates his company, ‘Atelier Pierre Disderot’, in 1947. Settled in Cachan, rue de la Gare, he is inspired by Scandinavian lightings designers and discovers contemporary illumination. With after-war new lifestyle, Pierre Disderot’s approach is gaining interest. As an industrial manager, he collaborates with his designer friends like René Jean Caillette, Pierre Guariche, Pierre Paulin and Alain Richard. Simultaneously, he is commissioned for matter of prestige, like the lightings of the ship ‘Liberté’.
