Designer and publisher, Giuseppe OSTUNI founded the lighting company Oluce in 1945. For nearly 30 years he collaborated with the greatest designers. Alongside him, Tito AGNOLI was cited for the Compasso d’Oro in 1955 for his 383 floor lamp. In 1962, Joe COLOMBO designed the “Acrylic” lamp for Oluce which won the Milan Triennale. Marco ZANUSO, in turn, delivered the 275 table lamp in 1963. In 1970, a year after Joe COLOMBO’s death, Oluce launched “halogen”, the first halogen interior lighting to appear on the market. The Oluce company was taken over by the VERDERI family, and Vico MAGISTRETTI became artistic director and chief designer of the company. (Attached Giuseppe OSTUNI and Joe COLOMBO).
