After completing his studies in the Visual Arts at the Vesper George School in Boston, which was interrupted prematurely, Paul McCobb enlisted in the American army in 1942. Discharged in 1943, he began working as a consultant for Feinman’s Modernage Furniture in 1948. It was in New York that he met B.G.Mesberg, with whom he began a collaboration. His creations, published by Winchendon Furniture, were very successful in the United States throughout the 1950s. Paul McCobb also designed for O’Hearn Furniture, Calvin and H.Sacks and Sons.
