STICKLEY Gustav

Gustav Stickley was a designer and pioneer of the Arts and Crafts movement in the United States at the turn of the 20th century. Born on March 9, 1858, in Osceola, Wisconsin, Stickley grew up in a modest family. His interest in woodworking was sparked at an early age, and he began working as a carpenter and cabinetmaker.
